Radio FM Offline 2017 provides users with methods to listen to five different radio stations from Europe even if they're totally offline. Listening to radio stations without an internet connection might not seem like much of a feat. But the important point to keep in mind is that the app doesn't use or require any sort of radio antenna in your phone to operate.

It's quite common for phones to have some type of FM radio capability. But it's equally uncommon for it to be something that users can really tap into. With some phones, it's as easy as just downloading a radio app and plugging in wired headphones to use as an antenna. But the biggest problem there is that it's an unpredictable experience. Many phones don't even support wired headphones anymore. And it's even more common for people to simply prefer Bluetooth headphones. Phone manufacturers also take varying levels of care when ensuring their devices can access radio waves. It's hard to know if any given phone can access local radio stations or not. And this is where Radio FM Offline 2017 comes in.

Radio FM Offline 2017 starts with an assumption that a phone doesn't possess any inherent ability to receive radio waves. In fact, it doesn't even make any assumptions about the phone's ability to connect to cell towers. It instead uses its initial Internet connection to download radio content for later playback. You can almost think of it as a way of timeshifting radio like we often do with TV shows. However, the fact that we're dealing with audio brings some inherent advantages.

One of the nicest things about audio content is that it takes up far less space than video. If you're thinking about how much space downloaded movies take on your phone then think again. A movie has both a video and audio track. While recorded radio only consists of an audio track. What's more, audio compresses far more efficiently than video. The end result is that you can save an incredible amount of radio playback on your phone or tablet without taking up much space.

However, there are some issues to consider when using the app. One of the biggest problems for English speakers stems from the fact that this app is entirely in French. But this is less of a hurdle than you might imagine. French and English share a common root. And most users will be able to find their way through the menu system fairly easily simply by noting similarities between French and English words. The app has few enough options that it's equally easy to just learn some of the French menu items through immersion. The only other downside to the app is its limited selection of only five radio stations. Having access to five different radio stations adds a little variety. But users might find themselves wishing for a few more options.
